Directions:

Takes the wrinkles out of your wood veneer and sizes it to nearly eliminate bleed-through.
  1. Brush or roll on liberally both sides making sure the wood is saturated and let sit for 2 minutes then drain off excess liquid.
  2. Remove excess moisture and place paper towels on a flat surface with a screen over it.
  3. Next place a saturated piece of veneer.  Over the veneer place another screen then paper towels then screen then veneer to separate the leaves and place a flat surface (plywood or particle board) over your (booked) veneer leaves and let dry changing the paper towels to extract the moisture.
Day 1: Change the paper towels after 2 hours, then again after an additional 3 hours then again every 8 hours.
Day 2: Change the paper towels every 8 hours.
Day 3: Eliminate the screens and change the paper towels every 8 hours.
Day 4: Your veneer should be ready to use depending on temperature and humidity.  Always keep your veneer stored flat.

Note: I re-use my paper towels letting them dry between changes.

Tropical Magnolia

This veneer is beautiful with browns and greens that many Marquetry lovers buy because the greens don’t fade with time. This veneer was made back in the 70s and is much thicker than today’s standards thus are easier to work with for the beginner with-out the worry and sanding through it.

Honduran Mahogany

This veneer was made back in the 70s and is much thicker than today’s standards thus are easier to work with-out the worry of bleed and sand-through.  Because it’s thicker it’s a great veneer for the first-timers.  It is illegal to sell this outside the US because it is now a protected species through ( C.I.T.I.E.S.) which also makes it more valuable.

Honduran Mahogany (Quilted)
